A belated update on our pub quiz fundraiser held at the Old Red Lion in November

Tenzin Gyatso, a refugee who fled Tibet after China invaded and now lives in India, is better known by what title?*

We were delighted to fill the room with enthusiastic teams – and some brave customers from the other side of the bar – and challenge them to questions on geography, politics, famous refugees and pictures beginning with the letter I. Importantly for our Education in Exile campaign, we raised £180, meaning we can help more displaced children to access school. We also gained new supporters for Trust in Children which is vital for sustaining out work beyond 2017.

Congratulations to the winning team, who scored very highly, and particular thanks to local restaurant Toulouse Lautrec, who donated as first prize tickets to a live music show in their cosy and fabulous upstairs venue.
