tic turkey

TiC Turkey began when the charity started in 1964, by donating food and hampers to disadvantaged families in the UK until 2004. In 2006 TiC Turkey started up again, as TiC bought educational Christmas presents for families in London who could not afford anything to put under the tree. The presents encourage family fun and activities as well as learning – they included a board games, puzzles and books.

“I didn’t know what an educational present was” said one of the families. “You have made our Christmas”.

In 2008, TiC Turkey gave educational books to Project Kapanda, Malawi to help build its school library; footballs and encyclopedias to families supported in Project Piura, Peru; and a video camera to the young people of Project Firefly, Bosnia. TiC also helped children in London who had lost their mother recently, had no money for Christmas presents and had housing problems. TiC bought books and educational toys for the family.

It is our aim to continue to provide the TiC Turkey project each Christmas so that all children have a present to open.
