On 21st October, When I Grow Up took place at the V&A Museum of Childhood and was a tremedous success. Over 150 people attended and our auction of some of the children's artwork, brilliantly chaired by Dr Alan Borg (previous director of the V&A and TiC patron), raised nearly £400. The whole event raised over £2000 for TiC - many many thanks to everyone who attended and made it such a special night. For more information, click here.

The TiC project group meet once a week to prepare for the event, including spraying picture frames, mounting the pictures and sending out lots of invitations. It will be a fun and insightful evening. It will be a chance to find out what celebrities including Joanna Lumley, Loyd Grossman, Shami Chakrabarti, Bill Bryson and Andrew Lloyd Webber wanted to be as children when they grew up and take part in our auction.
Fundraising activities
TiC is extremely lucky to have had incredible individuals stepping forward to taking part in fundraising activities on behalf of the charity. In summer 2008, Michael raised over £1200 by cycling in three European races. In December 2008, the Leeds Acapela choir sang at Waterloo station, raisinng over £350. And in October 2009, Andy and Melissa made donations in kind to contribute to TiC's When I Grow Up exhibition - a fabulous painting from Melissa and exciting photo shoot from Andy. A huge thank you to everyone who has fundraised for TiC.
If YOU would like to fundraise for TiC - whether it is holding a coffee morning or climbing Mount Everest - we would love to hear from you (info@trustinchildren.org)
